Somehow in the blink of an eye, we went from having a brand new one-year old to having a 15-month old. With the move and the holidays, the past three months just flew by! At Avery's 15-month checkup, she was 33 inches and 23 pounds. She wears a size 12-18 months, with a size 5 shoe.
Some of Avery's favorite things: Watermelon, pickles, belly buttons (hers, ours, anyone's!), collecting rocks (must be genetic), reading books (yes, the same ones over and over), and CLIMBING! We are working on language development, and Avery's favorite word right now is "shooz." The girl loves shoes!! The words "yes" and "no" are not part of Avery's vocabulary yet, but she has mastered the yes and no head shakes.
In the past few months, we transitioned off of bottles of formula to milk in sippy cups. Just recently, Avery started rejecting her high chair, so we made the switch to a booster seat at the table with us. Avery has never been a great napper, but she is pretty consistent about taking one 1.5 hour nap each day. If we get lucky, she will push it out to 2 hours.
Avery is also learning to count, and she has counting to 1 down pat! She knows that she is allowed to have one sweet treat each day, and when the time comes, she puts her little pointer finger up in the air and runs to the pantry.
