Back in the days before a baby and a casino job, Roger and I used to go all out to celebrate New Year's Eve. New Year's Eve 1998 was actually one of our first big dates! Roger was working, so I celebrated this New Year's Eve with our sweet baby girl. The fireworks started on our street around 7:30 pm, and Avery wasn't too sure about the noise. When a particularly loud round was set off, she put her little hands up in the air (palms up) with a look of amazement on her face. Then she ran over and wanted to hold my hand. It was so cute! We still celebrate these days, but now we do it on New Year's Day on a much more casual scale. We always have people over to watch football, have a few cocktails, and eat some yummies. Most years, Roger will inevitably fall asleep in the recliner by 8:00pm!
