We have officially moved away from Kansas City! The move is bittersweet, as we will forever have many fond memories of our 3.5 years there. We made some wonderful friends, and we will no doubt keep in touch with these people forever. I couldn't help but cry as we turned out the lights and locked the door to Avery's first home for the last time. However, we are thrilled to start the next chapter of our lives in New Orleans!
Wednesday through Friday of last week were moving days. The packers worked Wednesday and Thursday, and five big moving men loaded the ginormous truck on Friday. If it had been me packing up the house, I would still probably be working on the just the kitchen. These people were amazing - true professionals at their jobs!

Avery was determined to "help" with the packing! I set up an area in the master bathroom to stash all of the things we didn't want the movers to pack - the things we would need for the next few weeks. Hopefully, she didn't really think she needed to be IN the suitcase to come with us!
Climbing boxes and "helping" daddy unhook electronics were some of Avery's favorite activities!
But, all this packing wore Avery out! Poor baby girl no longer had a crib to nap in, so rides in the car had to suffice.
