Cold and Rainy Days

It has been cold and rainy in Kansas City all week. In fact, the high temperatures haven't broken out of the 40's. I can't wait to move back down to the nice warm south! Yucky weather is even harder to deal with when it results in a cooped up baby. We went to Gymboree play class this morning, but we spent most of the afternoon indoors. Avery has very little interest in toys right now, and she much prefers to explore the house. With this child, no drawer or cabinet goes unopened. She is so inquisitive! Her kitchen gadgets of choice to play with right now are two sets of nutcrackers and a tea leaf infuser. I honestly don't get the appeal, but even after taking them away from her and putting them back in different drawers in the kitchen, she sought out these exact pieces multiple times. Yes, very odd indeed!
