We have successfully made it to the 9th month! Avery's due date is 3.5 weeks away, and the doctor assured me that even if she is a bit late, we will definitely be having an October baby. I had a checkup a few days ago, and all is looking good. Since it had been awhile, the doctor wanted to do a sonogram to check on the baby and estimate her weight. At 36.5 weeks, she is estimated to be 6 pounds, 2 ounces, which puts her in the 58th percentile for babies at this point in the pregnancy. A rule of thumb is that babies gain about half a pound each of the last few weeks, so Avery may end up around 8 pounds. What a relief! My sweet husband was almost 10 pounds, and that really scared me! Here is a cute profile picture from Monday!
