Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

My dad (who lives in Dubai) was in Houston for a conference last week, so he and my stepmother picked Avery and I up for a short but sweet family roadtrip to the Dallas area to visit my brother and sister. I wasn't sure how Avery would behave in the car for 5 hours, but she was such a good girl! On Saturday afternoon, we hit the local pumpkin patch.

Avery had a great view from Pop's shoulders!

She didn't stay put for long, and then she was off and running all over the place. Little Miss Independent!

Mackenzie and Rylen did a great job feeding the goats, but Avery was a bit shy.

She was not shy about running into the pumpkin patch
and finding one she liked!

After feeding the animals and checking out the pumpkins,
we took a hayride around the farm.

We tried to get a picture of the three grandkids sitting in the pumpkins,
but it didn't quite work out.

However, thanks to Bep, we did get a nice family picture
with all the kids and grandkids!
