Peek-a-Boo!

Colby's favorite place to nap is behing the couch in our sunroom. This is also his hiding spot when our house is being shown. When Avery and I get home after a showing, I always check that spot to make sure that Colby didn't run out while people were in/out of the house. My sweet baby doesn't miss a trick, so she knows exactly where Colby's spot is!

Avery has learned to climb up on the couch by herself. It is the cutest thing to watch her hike her little leg up there, grunt and groan, and leverage the rest of her body up. She will pretend that she wants to read a book or play with a toy up there, but her real motive is to peek on Colby.

If she would just look at him, I don't think he would mind the intrusion too much. However, she always feels the need to pet (aka - smack) him. He doesn't want her to touch him at any time, and he certainly doesn't like it when she is invading his hiding spot.

Colby's tolerance is pretty good because it would be real easy for him to bite those little fingers. Thankfully, if he gets really annoyed by her, he just leaves. At that point, Avery decides that there is no longer any reason to play on the couch, and off she goes after Colby. In our house, it is not a game of cat and mouse, but one of baby and cat. Oh the fun we have!!!
